Project:

Your family has decided to buy internet service for your family computer. Your parents ask you to help research and recommend an internet provider.

Use the internet (at school, community library, or a friend’s house) to research providers. Gather and compare information on cost, options such as messenger and pop-ups, number of minutes per month, and speed (bandwidth).

Organize your information and use software to present at least three different options, and state which one is your final recommendation. Include a list of at least three technology vocabulary terms and their definitions that your parents might not know.

 

Components of your final product:

 
A product (brochure, poster, flyer, website) that compares and contrasts the 3 providers.
 
Information sources clearly credited somewhere in your product.
 
At least 3 comparison points (speed, cost, minutes, etc.) for each provider
 
Final recommendation clearly labeled.
 
A list of vocabulary used in the product, and definitions.
 
All of your work has followed your Code of Ethics.
