Project:

Your group will create your own Code of Ethics for using technology.

Steps:

  1. FIND EXAMPLES.  Work in a group of 4 to find examples of "Ethical Codes" (Code of Ethics) for using technology. Research using the internet. Find at least one example for each person in your group.
  2. WRITE YOUR CODE.  Have a group discussion about the examples you found, and create your own code of ethics for your group.
  3. CREATE A WAY TO SHARE IT.  Once you have created your code, pick a way (using technology hardware and software) to share it with the class. Add graphics, sounds or pictures that compliment your code.  Be sure to credit your sources (write it in your own words and list the websites of the 4 examples you found).
  4. MAKE COPIES for each member of your group, and one to turn in.  Each member of the group should show their commitment in some way (signatures, etc.)
  5. PRESENT YOUR CODE to the class in your group.  Assign each group member a part of your presentation (introduction, explanation of sources used, explanation of your code, etc.)
